Reviu: launching an e-commerce product with consent-first GA4 tracking
An NFC and QR stand that opens a business’s Google review page, sold online with Stripe checkout, a customer dashboard to track scans, and GA4 tracking that sends nothing before consent.

Context
For local businesses, Google reviews drive local visibility. But leaving one takes several steps: find the listing, find the button, remember to do it. Reviu turns that into a single tap at the counter.
The problem
Sell a small physical product online to local businesses, with no subscription and no app to install. And know which channels drive sales without sending anything to Google before the visitor consents.
Key decisions, and why
- 1
A counter stand rather than an app
NFC and QR codes work with any phone, with nothing to install.
- 2
One visible price, no subscription
A business owner decides fast when the price is clear and final.
- 3
GA4 loads only after consent
Nothing is sent before the visitor chooses. Smaller data, but honest and compliant.
- 4
A single, de-duplicated purchase event
Purchase carries the transaction ID: no double counting, and it can double as the ads conversion.
- 5
Stripe as the source of truth
The visit’s source is copied into the order, so every sale ties back to its channel.
- 6
Scans counted server-side
Dashboard statistics need no cookie at all.
